Darien extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 10-6-1 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Ludlowe Falcons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blue Wave have posted against the Falcons since May 2, 2018.

As for Ludlowe, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Ludlowe's part, Eliot Kwan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. Kwan has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Darien is set to take on their familiar foe Ridgefield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ludlowe will square off against rival Wilton at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
