Northwest Catholic Gets a Boost from Davis in 37-20 Victory
Starting off the list is Northwest Catholic's Kayden Davis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Davis picked up 286 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 74 yards.
This season, Davis has caught 15 touchdowns while averaging 153.1 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five receiving touchdowns.

Motes Came Up Big in Rocky Hill's 37-20 Loss
While Rocky Hill might've come up empty on Saturday, Joey Motes wasn't going down without a fight. Motes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 116 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 165 yards on 15 of 28 attempts.
Rocky Hill's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Motes and Rocky Hill will challenge Avon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Vincent Burbank Delivers Best Performance of Season
Northwest Catholic was led to victory by Vincent Burbank, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Saturday. Burbank threw for 401 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 42 yards.
Burbank and Northwest Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Lewis Mills at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Spartans, probably because Burbank had a solid game then too: he threw for 45 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 54 yards on only six carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Zakyi Kimber Goes Supernova in Bloomfield Victory
Zakyi Kimber was instrumental in extending Bloomfield's winning streak to five on Thursday. Kimber was dynamite, rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Bloomfield's victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Kimber and Bloomfield will take on Tolland at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Malachi Hymes put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in September of 2023 on Saturday. He made four total tackles.
Hymes and Northwest Catholic will be playing at home against Lewis Mills at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hymes' will try to catch a pass or two from Christian Morales the Eagles' star signal caller Will Morales have another big offensive game, or will Hymes keep him contained?
