Drew and Northgate are an even 4-4 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. Drew will head out on the road to challenge the Northgate Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Drew has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Friday, Drew had to suffer through a rough 68-26 loss at the hands of McIntosh.
Northgate has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They suffered a rough 75-55 loss at the hands of Harris County on Friday. Northgate has struggled against Harris County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Northgate might have lost, but man, DeAsia Stinson was a machine: she dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Stinson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Arnold, who scored 12 points.
Drew dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.8 points per game. As for Northgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
Drew was dealt a bruising 61-26 loss at the hands of Northgate in their previous meeting back in January. Can Drew avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
