The Manville Mustangs will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Highland Park Owls at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Manville at home against Belvidere as the team secured a 70-40 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Manville.
Even though Highland Park has not done well against Piscataway Vo-Tech recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Highland Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Piscataway Vo-Tech and snuck past 66-64.
Manville's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Highland Park, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Manville was able to grind out a solid win over Highland Park when the teams last played back in February of 2022, winning 36-25. Does Manville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Highland Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
