The Killingly Redmen will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Two weeks ago, Killingly came up short against Fitch and fell 44-37.
Meanwhile, Norwich Free Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 57-38 victory over Fitch. The win made it back-to-back wins for Norwich Free Academy.
Norwich Free Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jordyn Bay-kent, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks, and Nevaeh Yorke, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. That's the first time this season that Yorke scored 15 or more points. Selia Atchinson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Killingly's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Norwich Free Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Killingly didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Norwich Free Academy in their previous meeting back in February, but they still walked away with a 53-47 victory.
