Orono extended their home winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Mya Moore. Orono simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Richfield 73-40 with plenty of help from Moore, who shot 48% from the field on her way to 27 points along with seven assists and six boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 30 games she's played dating back to last season.

Eveyn Miller was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Richfield lost, don't look at Aniiya Johnson. Despite the final result, she went 5-for-12 en route to 16 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Desirai Chappell, who put up seven points and five assists.

Orono has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points over those games. Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9.

Orono wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-53 loss against Benilde-St. Margaret's on the 6th. Richfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
