Arise can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-41 victory over Griffin Academy. Arise's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Griffin Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Robert Bearrunner, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Moises Nebalasca, who scored eight points.
Arise's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Griffin Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
Arise does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Griffin Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. John Henry's defense has only allowed 28.7 points per game this season, so the Griffins' offense will have their work cut out for them.
