On Thursday Patrick Goodheart pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The performance marked the fewest earned runs Goodheart has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than two hits. For the season, he has an ERA of 2.71 over 10.3 innings pitched.

Goodheart and Lanier will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cherokee Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Longhorns will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 195 places lower in Georgia), but they're not letting that get them down.
