Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Griffin

Griffin barely beat Mundy's Mill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bears were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Tigers on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Tyson Lopez tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, Jymarion Street was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jason Foster, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Griffin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-16. As for Mundy's Mill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Griffin will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mundy's Mill: the pair will be back at it again later today.
