Bennett Johnson looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Jackson Pierce was a standout: he scored a run while going 2-for-3. Caden Simpson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Metrolina Christian Academy's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Christ School, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Metrolina Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Christ School struggles in that department as they've averaged .470. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Metrolina Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Christ School in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Metrolina Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
