Having just played yesterday, the Shepaug Valley Spartans will get right back to it and host the Harding Presidents at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Shepaug Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,175 points over their last 16 matchups.
Shepaug Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Gilbert 98-43 at home. Shepaug Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.
Meanwhile, Harding's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 82-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilby. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Harding still had to take the loss.
The losing side was boosted by Jamaar Wright Jr., who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Craig Chandler, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Shepaug Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Harding, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
