Brookstone is 0-3 against Kendrick since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Brookstone Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kendrick Cherokees at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of three wins, Brookstone's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 55-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stratford Academy.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Daniel Tolbert, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Hank Wylie, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Kendrick pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-58 to Central. While losing is never fun, Kendrick can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Central is ranked 107th).
Their wins bumped Brookstone to 4-2 and Stratford Academy to 3-0.
Brookstone couldn't quite finish off Kendrick in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 58-56. Will Brookstone have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
