The Averill Park Warriors waltzed into Friday's matchup with six straight wins but they left with seven. They took down Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 28-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Averill Park also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Jacob Phelps was a one-man wrecking crew for Averill Park as he rushed for 235 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry.
Averill Park has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 8-2 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points per game. As for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.
Averill Park will face off against Niskayuna at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Niskayuna's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matchups. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
