Having just played yesterday, the Niles North Vikings will get right back to it and host the MCC Crescents at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Niles North knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully the Crescents like a good challenge.
Niles North can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past Highland Park 80-55. 80 seems to be a good number for Niles North as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, MCC unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They suffered a tough 90-69 loss at the hands of Yorkville Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (60), MCC still had to take the loss.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Ammar Ibrahim and Jayden Riley. Riley had a great game and scored 36 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Meanwhile, Ibrahim was balling out in the loss, scoring 33 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Niles North's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.3 points per game. As for MCC, their loss ended a 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
