After only one run in their last matchup, Chatham Charter made sure to put some runs up on the board against Triangle Math & Science on Tuesday. The Chatham Charter Knights' pitchers stepped up to hand the Triangle Math & Science Tigers an 11-0 shutout. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

M. (Jax) Young was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Ryder Murphy was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Zach Cartrette was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Chatham Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Triangle Math & Science only posted a batting average of .000.

Chatham Charter now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Triangle Math & Science, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham Charter will host Providence Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Chatham Charter's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Providence Grove's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Triangle Math & Science, they will face off against Chatham Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
