Badger State Baptist fought the good fight in their overtime game against the First Baptist Crusaders on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.
Levi Borner was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals for First Baptist. That makes it four consecutive games in which Borner has scored at least 25% of First Baptist's points. Another player making a difference was Owen Nelson, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.
Badger State Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for First Baptist, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Badger State Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. First Baptist will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Hammond Baptist at 8:00 a.m. on November 30th. Hammond Baptist will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
