North had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-32 punch to the gut against Algonquin Regional on Friday. If North were hoping to take revenge for the 14-35 loss against Algonquin Regional the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed. This was the first contest for both squads, starting North off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Algonquin Regional a 1-0 record.
North will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Murdock. As for Algonquin Regional, they will face off against Marlborough.
