The Mt. Pleasant Tigers won against the Franklin Christian Academy Falcons on Monday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant came out on top against Franklin Christian Academy by a score of 67-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Ryan Benderman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. He set a new season high mark in assists with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Holt, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mt. Pleasant and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Franklin Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jackson Christian at 8:00 p.m. on December 21st. Franklin Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Knowledge Academies at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
