Lake Mills had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 14-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newman Catholic. If Lake Mills were expecting payback for the 31-35 loss against Newman Catholic the last time the teams met, then they were shortchanged. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Lake Mills off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Newman Catholic a 1-0 record.
Next week, Lake Mills take on West Fork at 7:00 PM. As for Newman Catholic, they will face of against Bishop Garrigan.
