Basketball Recap: Dora Piles Up the Points Against Fultondale

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Dora on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Fultondale Wildcats out of the water with a 68-41 final score. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 56-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dora to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Reese, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 boards. Reese's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Millicent Wilson, who posted 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Dora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.

Dora pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Fultondale, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
