The Adena Warriors were the 63-48 winner over the Chesapeake Panthers when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. Adena took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chesapeake on Friday.
Adena's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joedy Ater, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Cayden Lee, who scored 12 points.
Adena's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Chesapeake, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adena will take on Glenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chesapeake, they will be playing at home against Greenup County at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
