After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, North Hardin brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They were the clear victors by a 13-5 margin over the Thomas Nelson Generals on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Justice Hamilton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Hamilton was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drake Bell, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Colin Hamilton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.

North Hardin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .523. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas Nelson only posted an OBP of .371.

North Hardin picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Thomas Nelson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

The timing is sure in North Hardin's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Central Hardin has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Thomas Nelson, they will challenge Cornerstone Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
