Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Haven Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trevor Steinbrook, who went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points and five steals. The game was Steinbrook's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared White, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lighthouse Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Clarksville Christian 66-24. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 33 point advantage.
Lighthouse Christian's win came from a few key players South Haven Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kolby Matthews, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (seven). Lucas Haymer was another key player, going 9 for 10 en route to 21 points and eight boards.
Lighthouse Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.
Lighthouse Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for South Haven Christian, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as South Haven Christian and Lighthouse Christian are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. South Haven Christian hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.4 points per game. However, it's not like Lighthouse Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 63.3 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
South Haven Christian ended up a good deal behind Lighthouse Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 66-47. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lighthouse Christian's Jalylle Batey-Roberts, who went 10 of 19 on his way to 24 points.
