The Mechanicsburg Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 52-44 to Catholic Central. If Mechanicsburg hoped to take revenge for the 67-45 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lane Poland, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Deacon Meade, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Mechanicsburg bumped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Catholic Central, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will take on Fairbanks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairbanks presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mechanicsburg in Ohio (Fairbanks is ranked 264th, while Mechanicsburg is ranked 805th). As for Catholic Central, they will be playing at home against Greenon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
