Living Word Lutheran's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleah Alles, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alles has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Delaney Winkelmann, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Mayville bumped their record down to 3-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for Living Word Lutheran, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mayville will take on Oakfield at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Oakfield presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Mayville in Wisconsin (Oakfield is ranked 95th, while Mayville is ranked 343rd). As for Living Word Lutheran, they will head out on the road to challenge Luther Prep at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
