AA District 6 recap September 10, 2013
Tyner Academy's Willie Stewart rumbled for the longest rushing play in AA District 6 this season in his game against Hixson last week. Stewart ran for 54 yards on the play and finished with 125 on the day as his team fell to the Wildcats.
Hixson moved up to 135 from 174 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of beating Tyner Academy 49-35.
Wayne Turner's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Haasan Miller threw for 110 and 2 touchdowns and Jarrett Watson had 40 yards receiving. Sadik Spence helped Tyner Academy's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 29 yards.
