Softball Recap: Curry Wins Going Away Against Cullman

Curry won the last time they faced Cullman and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Bearcats. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 27 matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Skiely Perry looked comfortable as she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Shileigh Williams was a standout: she fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madie Gross, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one double.

Curry hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.

Curry's win bumped their record up to 44-3. As for Cullman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Curry does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cullman, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mortimer Jordan at 9:00 a.m.
