The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Summit Academy Bears with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Judge Memorial Catholic took down the Bears 71-52 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Judge Memorial Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jj Apathjang was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Longar Alor was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
When it comes to explaining why Summit Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colbyn Draper. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. Draper hasn't dropped below 20 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Green, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Summit Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Judge Memorial Catholic only pulled down seven offensive rebounds.
Judge Memorial Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12. As for Summit Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing American Heritage the next time they take the court. Judge Memorial Catholic will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
