Bosque has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Socorro Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Bosque is ranked 134th, while the Warriors are ranked 119th).
Bosque scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Hozho Academy by a score of 54-44. The win was just what Bosque needed coming off of a 70-31 defeat in their prior contest.
Bosque's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lena Chavez, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chavez has scored all season. Ainsley Capps was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Socorro had to suffer through a rough 59-8 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Socorro has scored all season.
Bosque's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Socorro, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.
Bosque was dealt a bruising 62-16 loss at the hands of the Warriors in their previous matchup back in January of 2020. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bosque was down 37-10.
