The Crest Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Hendersonville, posting a 69-37 victory at home. The win was familiar territory for Crest who now have four in a row.
Crest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nevaeh Blackwell led the charge by scoring 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Monica Surratt, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Crest pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Hendersonville, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crest and East Rutherford will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. East Rutherford is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Hendersonville, they will be playing at home against East Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Henderson and Hendersonville are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
