The Jackson Generals are on the road again on Wednesday and plays the iMater Charter Knights on February 7th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Jackson took a serious blow against the Pioneers, falling 57-10. While losing is never fun, Jackson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 600th, while the Pioneers are ranked 285th).
Meanwhile, iMater Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by LaSalle 59-14. IMater Charter has struggled against LaSalle recently, as their game on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Jackson has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for iMater Charter, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-9.
Jackson came up short against the Knights in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 28-18. Can Jackson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
