The Colusa RedHawks were the 64-59 winner over the Gridley Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Colusa was dealt a 70-39 defeat at the hands of Gridley on Monday. While losing is never fun, Colusa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while Gridley is ranked 273rd).
Despite the loss, Colusa still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Travis, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Landon Humphrey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Colusa and nudges their season record down to 7-5. As for Gridley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Colusa will head out on the road to face off against Las Plumas at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gridley will be home for the holidays to greet Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
