If Leon was feeling good  off their  11-4 takedown of Wakulla Christian School last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Leon Lions took  an  11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blountstown Tigers on Tuesday. Leon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blountstown apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2023.
  Kierstyn Fuller was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing five bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordae' Nance, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-4.
 On Blountstown's side, they got a big performance out of  Jalynn Copeland, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was  Marley Barfield, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Blountstown, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leon will take on North Florida Christian at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Leon is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.9  runs per game this season. As for Blountstown, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against St. John Paul II at 5:00  p.m. St. John Paul II is coming into the  matchup with four straight  victories on the road,  so Blountstown will have to stop a  team with plenty of momentum.
