Suitland has been on the road for four straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Friendly Patriots at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Suitland suffered a tough 92-68 loss at the hands of Wise. While losing is never fun, Suitland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while Wise is ranked 47th).
Meanwhile, Friendly had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They managed a 66-62 victory over Central.
Suitland's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Friendly, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Everything came up roses for Suitland against Friendly in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 63-29 win. Does Suitland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Friendly turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
