The Amanda Elzy Panthers and the Winona Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Amanda Elzy Panthers had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a rough 49-22 loss at the hands of the Tigers. Amanda Elzy's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Amanda Elzy still got an impressive performance from Jevarion Glover, who threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
It was another big night for Chase Richardson, who rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only six passes for Winona. Richardson hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for three straight games. Troylando Eden also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Amanda Elzy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Winona, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Amanda Elzy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Winona will be staying on the road on December 2nd to face off against Noxubee County at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Noxubee County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
