The Indians haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Myley Spriggs spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
On the hitting side, Morgan Rodziewicz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Frontier took on Faith Christian on Monday. The Falcons were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Eagles. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Falcons considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Summer Kremer was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ashlyn Minniear was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Govert, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Frontier always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Frontier's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-13. As for Twin Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
Twin Lakes skirted past Frontier 11-10 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
