This season hasn't been kind to the Hilltop Lancers, who are still winless after their seventh contest. They were outmatched by Eastlake at home and fell 78-33. Hilltop lost against Eastlake in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 71-35 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Hilltop lost on Monday, one person who can't be blamed is Isaac Meza. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points.
Hilltop has yet to win a game at home this season, leaving them with a 0-7 record. As for Eastlake, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.
Hilltop will stay at home for another game and welcome High Tech CV at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th. Eastlake is on the road again on Friday and play against Helix at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th.
