Even though Greene County scored an imposing 69 points on Saturday, Putnam County still came out on top. Putnam County walked away with a 76-69 victory over Greene County. Given Putnam County's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Greene County is ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Landon Bonner, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Putnam County's points. Rashod Daniel was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Putnam County's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Greene County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
