Basketball Recap: Burrillville Piles Up the Points Against Johnston

Burrillville won the last time they faced Johnston and things went their way on Friday too. The Burrillville Broncos claimed a resounding 63-36 win over the Johnston Panthers. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.

Burrillville was led to victory by Sean Zanella and Jack Dichiaro. Zanella went 6 for 13 en route to 18 points, while Dichiaro posted ten points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Dichiaro a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Kafalas, who had seven points and three steals.

Burrillville's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Johnston, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burrillville will welcome North Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Johnston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
