The Lone Pine Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Immanuel Christian Crusaders at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Lone Pine is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lee Vining just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.
Meanwhile, Immanuel Christian came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 17-6 win. 17 seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Erin French made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ava Blakie, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. What's more, she posted five RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Michaela Morgan, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
Immanuel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.
Immanuel Christian's record now sits at 10-6. As for Lone Pine, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.
Lone Pine suffered a grim 22-0 defeat to Immanuel Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
