Olean is a perfect 10-0 against Jamestown since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Huskies will welcome the Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Jamestown took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Olean, who comes in off a win.
Olean will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Salamanca on Thursday. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 22-2 margin over the Warriors. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.
Tiana Maine made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Maine was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Bates went a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs, while Finch got on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five hits gave Bates a new career-high. Ally Anastasia was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Olean always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Jamestown was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Southwestern, falling 14-1. The Red Raiders have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Olean has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Olean got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April against Jamestown by a conclusive 24-5 score. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
