Immanuel is 0-4 against Kerman since April of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Immanuel turned things around against Exeter on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Monarchs 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since March 16th.
Ella Renney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit.
At the plate, Immanuel's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Natalia Delgadillo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run. Addison Efird also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Selma typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Kerman proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Bears by a score of 5-1.
Roxy Alvarez made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Chloe Alvarez was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Lee, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Kerman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Immanuel's record is now 11-8. As for Kerman, their record now sits at 15-7-1.
Immanuel might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Kerman in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
