The Agua Fria Owls suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Cactus on the road and fell 81-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Agua Fria has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Agua Fria still got an impressive performance from David Shaw, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Agua Fria has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Cactus, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home.
Agua Fria will take on Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Estrella Foothills and three for Agua Fria. As for Cactus, they will head out on the road to face off against Goldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Goldwater will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Cactus is ranked 37th).
