After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Sunlake, Auburn Riverside was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. They blew past the Mt. Rainier Rams 20-5. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won six matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Makenna Vircks looked comfortable as she  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits.
 At the plate,  Hannah Potter was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  triple. That  triple marked the first that  she  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lauren Watson, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Auburn Riverside  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .667. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Auburn Riverside is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record  this season. As for Mt. Rainier,  with the  loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-3.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Auburn Riverside is set to  take on  their familiar foe Kentridge  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mt. Rainier will  square off against  rival Tahoma  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
