The Carrollton Warriors fell victim to the Steubenville Big Red's's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Big Red 42-0. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, Carrollton couldn't push the score so high this time.
Jacob Whitmore threw for 145 yards on eight of 19 attempts. Braylen Murphy was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Ryan Kiko rushed for 48 yards.
Carrollton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Steubenville, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Carrollton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Steubenville will be playing at home against Licking Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Licking Valley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
