Basketball Recap: Isaiah Coles Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

Riverside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Coles, who posted 15 points and five steals. Coles is becoming a predictor of Riverside's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is 3-1 (and 0-11 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Bryer Mullins, who went 6 for 13 en route to 18 points.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dane Hatfield, who had 25 points. That was a full 49% of Hoover's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Brown, who scored 13 points.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Hoover, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-54 win against Teays Valley Christian on the 7th. As for Hoover, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-33 victory against Sissonville on the 7th.
