Marquette entered their tilt with Newman Central Catholic on Friday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They never let the Comets get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won 18 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Marquette pushed their record up to 27-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Newman Central Catholic, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-7-1.

Looking ahead, Marquette will welcome Forreston at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Newman Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
