Sumner Academy's dynamic duo of Ben Miller and Leonard Green proved tough for Bishop Ward to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Miller threw for 89 yards and 2 touchdowns and Green had 40 yards receiving. Andre Faison helped Sumner Academy's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 40 yards.
Kossivi Esse was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Sabres lost to the Cyclones. The 5-foot-10 senior racked up 1 sack.
Jaevon Williams was a passing and rushing force as Washington lost to Lansing.
Wyandotte's Dimonic Mckinzy and Stephen Ford led Kansas City-Atchison in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Mckinzy has thrown for 1,631 yards this season, while Ford has 26 catches for 603 yards. Williams from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 985 yards.
Williams of the Washington is just 15 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 152 carries Williams has put up 985 yards this year.
Schlagle made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,907 from 11,085. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 48-0 victory over the Stallions last week.
