Despite their defeat, North Olmsted saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Katie Strong, who posted eight points in addition to five boards and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. That's the most blocks Strong has posted since back in January of 2024. Meanwhile, Westlake entered their tilt with Buckeye on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They secured a 37-32 W over the Bucks. The 37-point effort marked the Demons' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
North Olmsted's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Westlake, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
