Meridian has gone 9-1 against Deshler recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Tuesday, Meridian didn't have quite enough to beat High Plains and fell 3-2. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Storm 25-12 in the first set.
Meridian actually scored more points across those five sets (102-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-12.
Meanwhile, Deshler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the Dragons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-21 in the first set.
Deshler started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 22-25, 27-25, 25-20, 18-16.
